This position involves providing one-on-one customer service support to patients via phone, ensuring accurate documentation, and collaborating with healthcare providers to optimize patient care. The role requires handling high call volumes in a fast-paced environment, adhering to HIPAA and company policies, and demonstrating sound judgment when managing patient interactions, including escalations and appointment scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and professionally to patient calls
- Accurately enter demographic information into electronic records
- Provide patient-focused service, answer questions, and offer information
- Support process improvements and meet call volume targets
- Make reminder and appointment rescheduling calls
- Handle sensitive information confidentially and escalate calls appropriately
- Manage multiple clients, utilizing various systems simultaneously
- Maintain reliable attendance and perform additional duties aligned with organizational values
Requirements
- At least 1+ year in healthcare, customer service, or call center roles
- Experience with medical scheduling and healthcare environments preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, and phone systems
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task in a technology-driven environment
- Ability to handle confidential information and work independently from a remote setting
- Broadband internet with specified speeds and a private HIPAA-compliant workspace required
