About the role

Join a highly motivated and energetic kitchen team as a Full-Time Cook in our healthcare division at the Indiana State Hospital in Evansville. This fast-paced role involves preparing and serving high-quality meals in a supportive environment that promotes personal and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality and portion control in meal preparation
• Prepare food according to recipes and standards
• Create visually appealing food presentation
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization
• Properly store food items and ingredients
• Follow safe food handling policies and procedures

Requirements

• At least one year of culinary experience in a high-volume, scratch-cooking environment
• Working knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques, and standards
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
• Proficiency in using kitchen equipment and identifying food items
• Customer service experience
• Food handlers’ certification (preferred but not required)

Pay

$16.00 - $18.00 per hour, depending on experience.
