Full Time Client Advisor

Full time / Orchard Street, New York, NY The Role This is Tone Deaf Studios' first permanent store, and you will be our full time client advisor. We are looking for someone who can start as soon as they are available. Joining before the September 12 opening will give you time to become familiar with the brand, product, customers, and team while helping with the final stages of store preparation. You will work closely with the Store Manager and founder across sales, product education, merchandising, customer experience, inventory, and store operations. By opening day, you should feel confident representing Tone Deaf, speaking naturally about the product, and creating a welcoming experience for everyone who comes through the door. As one of the store's first sales associates, you will have a meaningful role in establishing the standards and culture of the space. We are looking for someone who is observant, curious, personable, and excited to learn. What you'll do Create a warm, knowledgeable, and genuine customer experience.Develop a strong understanding of the Tone Deaf brand, product, fit, construction, materials, and styling.Engage customers naturally and understand what they are looking for rather than relying on a scripted sales approach.Serve as a keyholder when scheduled, supporting opening and closing procedures, securing the store, and taking responsibility for basic store operations when the Store Manager is not present.Help customers find products, build outfits, and understand the story and construction behind each piece.Build relationships with customers and develop strong clienteling habits.Follow up with customers when appropriate and maintain meaningful relationships with repeat clients.Support visual merchandising and maintain the presentation of the sales floor.Keep merchandise organized, replenished, folded, sized, and properly displayed.Assist with receiving shipments, inventory organization, stockroom upkeep, transfers, and product counts.Operate the POS accurately and follow all store procedures for purchases, returns, exchanges, and payments.Support opening and closing procedures.Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment.Participate in store events, product launches, and other brand activations.Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.Help build a store experience that feels connected to the culture and community of Orchard Street. What we're looking for 2-3+ years of experience in fashion, premium, luxury, or specialty retail preferred.Strong personal sales ability and a genuine interest in working with customers.Experience with clienteling and maintaining long term relationships with customers.Reliable, organized, and comfortable taking initiative without being asked.Comfortable working independently while contributing to a small team.Willingness to learn and receive feedback.Comfortable with POS systems, inventory processes, and basic retail operations.Availability to work a retail schedule, including weekends and selected holidays.
