Full Time Class B Delivery Driver

American Welding and Gas, Inc. ("AWG") is an employee-owned company that manufactures and distributes industrial, medical, specialty, and beverage gases across 20 states.

About the role

This position involves loading, unloading, moving, and storing gas and liquid cylinders and other hard goods, making deliveries to customers or branches, and accurately completing delivery tickets.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Comply with all DOT and OSHA regulations
• Safely move, load, and unload empty and full cylinders
• Prepare, complete, and ensure accuracy of paperwork, including shipping papers and delivery tickets
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Class B CDL with HazMat, Tanker, and Airbrake endorsements (or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment)
• Clean driving record
• Able to read and write English
• Ability to lift 50–75 pounds frequently and maneuver 100+ pound cylinders (rolling, using a cart, etc.)
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, back assessment, and company-administered road test
• Ability to communicate with customers
