Full Time Certified Nursing Assistant

About the role

The Neville Center at Fresh Pond is a Joint Commission and American Healthcare Association Silver Medal Award-winning short-term rehab, long-term, and skilled nursing care community located on the Cambridge/Belmont line. We are seeking highly motivated and qualified Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to join our nursing department.

Responsibilities

• Provides care to participants as directed and as outlined in the plan of care
• Assists participants with activities of daily living and/or provide all necessary care for participants who are dependent
• Utilizes nursing assistant techniques to provide care to participants in a manner that promotes as much individual independence as possible, including walking, transfer assistance, range of motion, eating, bathing, dressing, and bed mobility
• Applies knowledge of infection control, fire, and disaster policies as needed
• Participates in continuing education and meets the requirements for annual in-service participation
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• A current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in Massachusetts
• Must be able to read, write, and understand English; other languages are helpful
• Has basic math skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
