Purpose

The Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting the provider.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Medical Assistant - state tested certification
• Possess skills in triage
• Maintain current CPR certification
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
• Possesses positive customer service skills

Working Conditions

• Lifting and carrying up to 10 pounds approximately 15% of the day
• Sitting approximately 20% of the day
• Standing and walking approximately 40% of the day
• Twisting, climbing, kneeling, stooping, and bending approximately 15% of the day
• Reaching at or above shoulder level approximately 10% of the day
