Full-Time Cash Applications Lead

Role: Lead Cash Applications responsible for ensuring accurate posting of cash receipts to accounts receivable, overseeing daily operations, and supporting month-end processes. Responsibilities: Manage cash application specialists, process EFT and lockbox files, collaborate with billing and collections teams, log cash batches, apply payments from various payers (including Medicare, Medicaid, commercial, and private accounts), resolve payment discrepancies, enforce business rules and SOX controls, and handle denials and recoupments. Provide training, guidance, and monitor team performance, demonstrating problem-solving skills and professionalism. Evaluate data to prioritize tasks, reflect company values, and communicate effectively. Qualifications & Skills: High school diploma or equivalent, at least one year healthcare experience, proficiency with computers, data entry, and office equipment. Must maintain confidentiality, possess attention to detail, time management, calmness under stress, decision-making, organization, and communication skills. Physical ability to lift 25 pounds, sit, stand, and perform related activities. Ability to work in diverse environments and adhere to health requirements. Key Duties: Oversee daily cash application processes, ensure accurate payment posting, support month-end closing, train staff, resolve payment issues, and uphold compliance standards.
