Full-Time Cannabis Advisor - New Kensington

About the role

Full-time Cannabis Advisor position with open availability required for any shifts (open/close), including weekends and holidays. Pay is $16/hour plus tips.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional, individualized customer service and educational consulting.
• Greet customers and patients with a positive attitude and act as an advocate for cannabis customer care.
• Help customers navigate cannabis products and educate them on wellness applications (no medical advice provided).
• Build rapport with regular customers to promote repeat business.
• Work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment.
• Educate customers on types, methods, and efficacy of various cannabis products.
• Participate in ongoing cannabis education and training.
• Support managers and other Cannabis Advisors as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation and store front.
• Ensure accuracy of online orders before customer pick-up.
• Understand and apply detailed compliance regulations as required by local and state laws.
• Stock, merchandise, and replenish displays of regulated and unregulated inventory.
• Complete transactions at the POS and ensure state-monitored inventory systems (e.g., METRC, BioTrack) accurately update product availability.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of retail or hospitality experience.
• Must be 21 years of age and comply with all local, state, and company regulations.
• Required to undergo a criminal background check and appropriate state badging (as directed by state ordinances).
• Desire to learn about cannabinoids, terpenes, and product application/consumption methods.
• Ability to use office equipment (computers, printers) and software (e.g., Word, Excel, email).
• Learn and understand Federal, State, and local laws relating to the cannabis industry and safety regulations.

Physical and Mental Demands

• Frequently required to remain in a stationary position, move, and position oneself.
• Must occasionally move packages weighing up to 20 lb.
• Able to stand up to 90% of the time.
• Specific hearing abilities include hearing in the normal audio range with or without correction.
• Specific vision abilities include close observation and the ability to adjust focus.
• Mental and physical requirements must be met with or without reasonable accommodation to perform essential functions.

Working Environment

Work is performed in a retail environment with a moderate noise level.

Pay

$16/hour plus tips.
