About the role
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking an In-Home Associate Veterinarian to provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families in the Mid-Hudson Valley, NY and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
- Provide hospice and euthanasia care in clients' homes
- Build strong relationships with pet owners and their families
- Ensure all procedures are performed with compassion and professionalism
- Document patient care and communicate effectively with referring veterinarians
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance
Qualifications
- Experience in hospice and euthanasia care preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and emotional situations

Pay
Compensation varies based on schedule structure, with 4-day positions starting at $117,500 and 5-day positions offering a base salary of $140,000, plus additional bonus opportunities.
