D & O Salon, located in Mill Valley’s Strawberry Village, is seeking fresh talent to join our apprenticeship program. About the Role

The ideal candidate is dependable, punctual, friendly, professional, and detail-oriented with strong multitasking skills and a passion for the beauty industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent, professional customer service while adhering to state board of barbering and cosmetology protocols.
• Possess complete knowledge of all services and products offered.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Actively promote add-on services, retail, programs, and promotions.
• Regularly attend and participate in ongoing training to stay current with trends.
• Demonstrate strong accountability for retail sales and promotions.

Requirements

• Must hold and maintain a current California State Board of Cosmetology license.
• Enthusiasm for providing excellent client care.
• Professional and prompt communication skills.
• Friendly, outgoing demeanor and enjoyment working with people.
• Ability to diffuse difficult situations with tact and efficiency.
• Proactive in anticipating client needs.

Schedule

• Flexible availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and special events.
• Full-time position requiring a minimum of five days per week, including evenings and education classes twice a week.
