Sam Edelman is seeking an Assistant Manager to join our highly creative, forward-thinking team in providing a world-class customer experience!

Responsibilities

  • Create Partnerships & Engage with Industry Trends: Collaborate with the Store Manager to acquire internal partnerships and informal networks to remain engaged with current consumer insights/trends: Mall marketing/media, social influencers, neighboring businesses/retailers/charitable organizations.
  • Elevate the Store Experience: Elevate the overall shopping experience for all Sam Edelman Clients utilizing the “The Sam Style” model, and providing an inviting world-class customer experience through daily execution of coaching tools that promote it within the team.
  • Drive with Passion: Set the stage for store associates while embracing company initiatives, contests, and strategies to reach desired performance. Cultivate the importance that our sales floor is our the number one priority because our customer always comes first.
  • Provide Coaching & Feedback: Use daily chat-ins/out with associates to ensure accountability and measure performance, address associate behavioral and performance deficiencies through the use of coaching in partnership with the Store Manager.
  • Uphold Merchandising Standards: Utilize your detail-oriented skillset to assist team in product rotation and store representation according to our visual merchandising standards, create renewed shopping behaviors.
  • Cultivate a Culture of Professionalism and Respect: Foster a professional and safe work environment where associates are valued, respected and recognized for their contributions.
  • Complete other projects and assignments as directed by management.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Some retail store management experience or relevant management experience in lieu
  • Able to build constructive and effective relationships within store
  • Demonstrates an ability to communicate positively with store associates at all levels
  • Must exercise independent judgment and discretion partnering with Store Sales Manager as needed
  • Strong working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures
  • Able to work effectively within a team
  • Able to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including holidays, nights, weekends and extended hours
