Responsibilities
- Assists the direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results.
- Establishes and communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports.
- Identifies training and development opportunities to enhance team performance.
- Communicates and models the company’s core values to foster teamwork and membership among employees.
- Monitors the competitive environment and recommends adjustments to maintain the company’s competitive position.
- Provides product feedback, including recommendations for new items or discontinuations.
- Participates in the interviewing process for store personnel.
- Communicates weekly updates, milestones, developments, and concerns.
- Ensures adherence to inventory procedures, product handling guidelines, and cash control policies to minimize losses.
- Resolves operational customer concerns in the direct leader’s absence.
- Identifies and rectifies hazards, maintains store equipment, and ensures proper ergonomics.
- Maintains store cleanliness standards and proper signage.
- Assists with maintaining proper stock levels through appropriate product ordering.
- Merchandises product neatly to maximize sales.
- Ensures the quality and freshness of products and accuracy of product signage.
- Assists with achieving store payroll, total loss budget, inventory counts, and training new employees.
- Supervises day-to-day operations, escalating issues as necessary.
- Ensures direct reports complete responsibilities in a timely and effective manner to provide high-level customer service.
- Complies with all established company policies and procedures while upholding document and data security.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stock merchandise, including lifting and placing products weighing up to 45 pounds on shelving at various heights.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the store.
- Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations.

- Must be 18 years of age or older.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, follow instructions, and pay attention to detail.
- Meets state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment.
- A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
- Prior management experience preferred.
