Full-Time Assistant Liquor Store Manager

Location: Cub Liquor Sun Ray

Reports to: Liquor Store Manager • Non-Union • Up to $21.00/hour depending on experience

Schedule

Sunday – Saturday, varied hours

Responsibilities

• Support the Liquor Manager in all store operations
• Monitor employee behavior to ensure customer satisfaction with all transactions
• Communicate with management to achieve optimal service levels and prevent long lines
• Problem-solve customer questions and concerns
• Train and develop future Liquor Store Managers
• Interview and hire new employees
• Assist with merchandising to keep shelves stocked (may include heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.)
• Prioritize and establish work lists to maintain steady workflow for employees
• Help maintain a clean and safe store environment
• Collaborate with the team on all tasks necessary for department success

Requirements

• Friendly and outgoing with a focus on promoting customer service for the entire team
• 2–3 years of liquor store experience preferred
• Able to share information on wine, beer, and food pairings with shoppers
• Understands and follows all municipal, state, and county carding laws
• Knowledge of customer relations, protocols, and effective work plans
• Motivated to grow career and continue learning
• Physical ability to lift/carry over 50 lbs., push/pull up to 2000 force lbs., walk, reach, stand, stoop/bend, squat, kneel, and perform repetitive motions (turning, bending)
• Occasional climbing of ladders
• Frequent (15% of work shift or at least ten repetitions per shift) and occasional (less than 15% of work shift or fewer than 10 repetitions per shift) physical and mental demands as outlined
