About the role

The Assistant Store Manager assists the Store Manager in leading a customer-focused, top-line sales-driven, profitable, and productive store location. The role involves inspiring and motivating others by exhibiting core value behaviors, ensuring a customer-focused selling culture, and executing the Store's KPIs. Assistant Managers hold store employees accountable for following all policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Displays a customer-focused mindset at all times and ensures all team members deliver an engaging, positive, and authentic customer experience.
• Handles customer situations in compliance with policy and procedures, attempts to "solve for yes," and escalates issues as appropriate.
• Maintains a clean and well-organized store, promoting a safe working and shopping environment to maximize the customer experience.
• Shares feedback from customers with the leadership team to improve the overall customer experience.
• Performs as the floor supervisor role as needed to cover non-peak periods (breaks, etc.).
• Delivers an engaging, positive, and authentic customer experience with all customers.
• Holds self and others responsible for the accomplishment of all operational tasks.
• Coaches and provides feedback on Sales Associates' performance.
• Supports associate engagement by recognizing and rewarding outstanding performance.
• Provides direction to associates to ensure understanding of company directives and standards.
• Prioritizes and delegates tasks to meet all operational needs.
• Supports and executes visual directives and maintains visual standards set by the company.
• Drives efficiency in all operational store processes.
• Maintains merchandise flow, filling, and presentation standards throughout the store and stockroom.
• Maintains a clean and well-organized stockroom and store, promoting a safe working and shopping environment.
• Ensures all store associates follow all policies, procedures, and Safety Program practices.
• Reflects the PacSun brand by demonstrating passion and affinity for product, brands, fashion, and trends.
• Inspires and motivates others by consistently exhibiting core value behaviors.
• Demonstrates willingness, aptitude, and initiative to learn what is unknown about product, brands, fashion, and trends.

Requirements

• Passion for product, brands, fashion, and trends.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Proficient in math and possesses strong computer skills.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Frequently sit/stand for long periods of time and climb ladders as needed.
• Regularly required to talk or hear.
• Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, as well as reach, twist, or squat.
• Ability to maneuver around sales floor, stockroom, and office areas.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to work in an open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.
• Hotel, airplane, and car travel may be required for Store Manager and above roles.

Schedule

This is a full-time position requiring 32-40 hours per week. As a national retailer, flexibility with work schedule (including weekends, nights, and peak holiday periods) is required.
