Full-time Administrator: Nursing Program Director
The Nursing Program Director at Lakeland Community College is responsible for the continual development and administration of the associate nursing program and RN-BSN program. Key responsibilities include:
- Develops and implements a plan for the evaluation and improvement of curriculum based on student learning outcomes, faculty input, and changes in legislation.
- Supervises and evaluates nursing faculty.
- Collaborates with the Dean to complete faculty orientation and recommend candidates for full-time faculty positions.
- Maintains cooperative relationships with college administration, faculty, students, and external communities.
- Ensures regular faculty meetings for curriculum development, revision, and implementation.
- Facilitates processes for maintaining accreditation and Ohio Board of Nursing approval.
- Assists with student orientation, registration, and progress monitoring.
- Represents the nursing program with professional organizations.
- Prepares reports and documents for accreditation and approval bodies.
Qualifications include:
- Completion of an approved registered nursing education program.
- A master’s degree in nursing, with an earned doctorate preferred.
- At least five (5) years of nursing experience, two of which as a faculty member.
- Current, valid Ohio RN license.
- Teaching experience at a community college is preferred.
Conditions of employment include:
- This is a full-time, 12-month, continuing, exempt position.
- The annual salary is within the pay grade 7 range of the administrative and supervisory/professional salary schedule with an anticipated hiring range of $86,038 - $105,000.
- The position’s starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
