Full-Time, 12 Month Head Custodian - Evening Shift

Job Summary

The Dallastown Area School District has an immediate vacancy for a Full-Time, 12-Month 2nd Shift Head Custodian at Dallastown Area High School. Hours are Monday through Friday, 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Job Requirements

• Five years experience in custodial work
• Knowledge of various cleaning chemicals
• Able to operate/use various custodial equipment
• Strong custodial supervisory background including leadership skills, organizational skills and communications skills
• Proven ability to function in a team environment within an organization that has multiple lines of authority
• Ability to grasp and use new methods and technology as it applies to custodial services, including web based HVAC controls
• Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with others
• Acceptable record of attendance

Responsibilities

• Performing general cleaning and maintenance in school buildings and grounds
• Maintaining equipment in functional condition
• Provides cleaning and custodial assistance to students, teachers, visitors and others as necessary
