FULL-STACK YOUTUBE CREATOR & CREATIVE LEAD
About the role
We are Simon and Felix, running „Wissenswert“ for almost 10 years now, as a small team of creative people. We reach millions with our content. We love YouTube, we love interesting content and we are now looking for reinforcements to write the next chapter of our channel story.
What we're looking for:
We are looking for one or more Full-Stack YouTube Creators. Someone who understands YouTube not only as a consumer but also as part of their DNA. Someone who is creative, intelligent, strategic and broad-minded, and has a feel for what brings people to click on a video and, even more importantly, to watch it until the end and stay entertained.
Your profile:
Kernkompetenz Scriptwriting: You write videos that inform but above all entertain. You know how to research interesting content and how to combine storytelling and retention optimization.
Visuelles Denken: You don't just write text, you see the finished video in your mind. You know how to use images to tell stories and illustrate things.
Content Strategy and Ideation: You understand that video ideas need to be original and interesting, but also cleverly packaged (thumbnails/titles) to work on YouTube. You understand the algorithm and know how to pique curiosity.
Unternehmerisches Denken: You understand YouTube and content in general as a business and have a good understanding of the creator economy. You think entrepreneurially, are interested in taking on more responsibility long-term and making strategic decisions.
Breite Interessen und "In-Touchness": You are someone who is interested in many different topics and have a broad general knowledge. You have a good sense of the zeitgeist, as well as the internet culture (memes, trends, content platforms, etc.). You are up-to-date, not behind the times, and have a good feeling for what society and the mainstream are currently concerned about.
Persönlichkeit und Mindset: You have a passion for producing good content, love creative work, and enjoy being in a creative flow. You are simple, pragmatic, and value friendly and collegial interactions.
Concrete skills that are advantageous:
Skill in one of these areas or relevant experience is highly beneficial (but not necessary). Please mention which skills/experience you bring.
AI Native: Experience with tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude etc. and can both evaluate the possibilities and limitations of these tools and use them sensibly (and when not to use them - AI Slop).
Bildbearbeitung: Photoshop, GIMP, and/or newer AI tools
Videobearbeitung: Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro etc.
Voice-Over Recording: Experience with Voice-Over acting, podcasting etc.

Tasks:
Scriptwriting: Write scripts for 1-2 videos per week.
Ideation: Develop video ideas.
Thumbnail editing: Create thumbnails.
Voicing-over acting: Experience with voice-over acting, podcasting etc.
Video editing: Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro etc.
