Full Stack Web Developer (Software Developer 1/2)
About the role
This position will be filled at either the Software Developer 1/2 level, depending on the skills of the selected candidate. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if the candidate is hired at the higher level.
Responsibilities
- Work with the team to develop our automated framework for Software Assurance; CodeVision.
- This framework enables the automated review of software to provide technical assurance to risk decisions.
- Develop robust web application in a Kubernetes/OpenShift environment.
- Frameworks and underlying technologies include Flask, Bootstrap, MongoDB, Elasticsearch and others as well as Python programming and modern infrastructure.
- Provide growth opportunities in the areas of computing infrastructure, software security, and application development.
Requirements
- Knowledge and experience with modern software development methodologies and tools including the use of Git, Gitlab, Bitbucket and similar tools.
- Knowledge and experience programming in a Linux environment using Python, bash and similar languages.
- Knowledge and experience with web applications frameworks like Django, Flask, React, and similar frameworks.
- Knowledge and experience with traditional and NoSQL databases systems like PostreSQL and MongoDB.
- Ability to present technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to obtain a DOE-Q Clearance is required.
Qualifications
- Minimum Job Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and 2 years related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.
- Additional Job Requirements for Software Developer 2: Demonstrated experience participating in formal software development teams and processes, demonstrated experience programming with Python in a development and production environment for modern web applications, and demonstrated experience working with databases used with web applications.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge or experience automating the use of static and dynamic software analysis tools.
- Knowledge or experience with malware or binary analysis.
- Knowledge or experience with linux system administration including installing operating systems, configuring services, and managing file systems.
Pay
$72,800 - $115,400 for Software Developer 1
$87,800 - $143,000 for Software Developer 2
Schedule
The work location for this position is onsite and located in Los Alamos, NM.
