Job Description

About the Role

Join Outro Health as engineer #2 to build software that enables patients to safely reduce medication. You’ll partner with the Head of Product to scale a complex clinical care model, moving between patient-facing React Native apps, AI-driven operations, and TypeScript clinical tools while ensuring a unified view of patient health data.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and scale clinical products, including custom clinician tools and AI agents that assist in monitoring patient responses to medication changes.
  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of patient-facing features across web and React Native mobile platforms, from initial design through deployment and clinical iteration.
  • Build robust integrations with insurance and data platforms to streamline billing and enable research partnerships with leading universities and health systems.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience as a full-stack engineer with deep expertise in TypeScript, React, and Node.js (Next.js experience is a plus).
  • Proven ability to ship products independently and turn ambiguous clinical workflows into clear software models, with a strong focus on data modeling and domain boundaries.
  • Systems-minded builder who is excited about leveraging AI tools to accelerate development and has an interest in making complex healthcare systems intuitive for patients.

Qualifications

  • Experience with TypeScript, React, and Node.js (Next.js experience is a plus).
  • Strong understanding of clinical workflows and data modeling.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Interest in leveraging AI tools to accelerate development and improve patient outcomes.
