About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be an expert problem-solver and builder, responsible for designing, implementing, and enhancing software applications and systems that drive our payment solutions. You will spend approximately 60-75% of your time coding, working hands-on with code, data, and modern tools, including AI-assisted development, cloud services, and automation frameworks. Your work will focus on delivering secure, scalable, and high-quality technology solutions that support our business objectives in the fintech sector. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—product managers, designers, data scientists, QA, operations, and compliance—to translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions. Your role will also involve adhering to best practices, security standards, and regulatory requirements, ensuring that our systems are reliable and compliant. Embracing digital fluency, you will work with emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to enhance productivity and innovation within your team. This position offers a hybrid work environment, with expectations for in-office presence to be confirmed by your hiring manager. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher (e.g., Master’s, MBA, JD, MD, PhD)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience for Bachelor's degree holders
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience or more than 2 years with an advanced degree
• Experience in developing and implementing web-based applications, including both front-end and back-end development
• Proficiency in system design and architecture for product components
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Experience in code review and applying coding standards
• Experience in test planning and execution for software features
• Ability to respond to support requests and deploy fixes efficiently
• Familiarity with software developer tools for code creation, debugging, and maintenance
• Experience with enterprise-scale web services and client-facing projects
• Knowledge of compliance standards is a plus
• Experience with Generative AI, NLP, RAG systems, and AI-assisted investigations is preferred
• Excellent collaboration and mentoring skills, with a proven ability to work cross-functionally

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to interpret project requirements and incorporate feedback into design and implementation
• Translate business needs into technical solutions, verifying assumptions and escalating design issues as necessary
• Participate in system design, architecture, and documentation activities
• Contribute to project estimations and escalate potential delays
• Develop, implement, and maintain high-quality code following best practices and coding standards
• Utilize debugging tools to verify assumptions and proactively identify potential issues
• Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to quality standards
• Create test plans and configure testing procedures to identify and resolve software defects
• Respond to support requests during on-call rotations, troubleshooting and deploying fixes efficiently
• Leverage modern software development tools to create, debug, and maintain code components
• Stay current with emerging technologies and invest in continuous learning to improve system performance and reliability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, design, data science, and operations, to deliver innovative solutions
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a collaborative team environment
