About The Role
We are seeking a talented Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our team either in person or remotely. This role involves developing scalable, high-performance backend services and engaging front-end applications that serve our SaaS platform tailored for the construction industry. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess a passion for simplifying complex systems, and have a strong background in building cloud-native, high-scale services. As part of our engineering team, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing data unification layers, creating secure integrations with legacy on-prem systems, and developing APIs that support millions of requests daily. Your work will directly impact over 500 customers, shaping the future of construction technology and automation.
Qualifications
- 1 to 4 years of experience as a back-end or full-stack engineer, with exceptional college graduates considered if they have strong internship or co-op experience
- Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, React, Redis, Postgres, and AWS services including CDK and EC2
- Experience building cloud-native, high-scale, reliable services
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, GraphQL, and modern web development practices
- Ability to design scalable data unification frameworks supporting hybrid and on-prem systems
- Experience with webhooks, web sockets, and real-time data interfaces
- Self-motivated, low ego, with a high sense of ownership and collaborative mindset
- Willingness to work in person in the Bay Area or remotely outside the region
- Background in B2B SaaS or API-driven products is a plus but not mandatory
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable REST APIs and GraphQL endpoints to support our SaaS platform
- Design and implement data unification layers that support on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments
- Create front-end applications that consume internal APIs for features such as synchronization and analytics
- Write clean, well-tested, and high-performance code, adhering to continuous deployment practices
- Collaborate with data engineers, product managers, and UX designers to deliver value-driven features
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and system design sessions to ensure best practices
- Research legacy systems to develop system-agnostic solutions for data integration challenges
- Address technical challenges related to unification, on-prem integration, scale, performance, and reliability
- Contribute to both backend and frontend development efforts to enhance internal and customer-facing products
