Hybrid work model: 3 days onsite in Rutherford, NJ and 2 days remote. Temporary-to-hire role with an estimated duration of 6 months. Hourly rate: $65.00–$74.00.

About the role

Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions, define system enhancements, and deploy new products and process improvements. Resolve high-impact problems through in-depth evaluation of complex business and system processes, providing expertise in application design and adherence to overall architecture blueprints.

Responsibilities

  • Develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
  • Provide in-depth analysis and interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions.
  • Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary.
  • Perform effective code and design reviews.
  • Analyze and tune application performance using tools like JProfiler and AppDynamics.
  • Drive compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policy and applying sound ethical judgment.
  • Escalate, manage, and report control issues with transparency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in application development or systems analysis.
  • 5+ years of expertise in:
    • Back-end: Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate.
    • Design patterns: Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes.
    • Front-end: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Angular, Webpack.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Oracle PL/SQL experience, including stored procedures and triggers.
  • Experience with source control management using Git/Bitbucket.
  • Experience with testing frameworks like JUnit, Cucumber, Jasmine, or Mocha.
  • Experience in Agile software methodology using Jira.
  • Experience preparing software design artifacts, including architecture, flowcharts, and sequence diagrams.
  • Demonstrated leadership, project management skills, and clear written and verbal communication.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with MongoDB.
  • Experience with React.

Pay

Hourly rate: $65.00–$74.00.

Schedule

Regular working hours. Full-time, hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote).
