In 2024, we launched Nautilus.ai, our Digital & AI activity dedicated to designing and developing bespoke, ethical, and secure digital & AI tools for the healthcare industry.

About the role

As a Software Engineer at Nautilus.ai, you will build high-quality, user-centric applications that embed advanced AI capabilities and are deployed within clients’ secure healthcare environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, maintainable software solutions that enhance healthcare systems and patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop fully featured, enterprise-grade (web) applications with a strong focus on frontend quality and user experience.
  • Translate functional and UX requirements into scalable, maintainable software architectures.
  • Develop frontend components using modern frameworks and contribute to backend development and API integration as needed.
  • Ensure applications meet healthcare industry expectations for security, reliability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with AI/ML Engineers to integrate AI-powered features into applications.
  • Participate in agile project cycles: design, development, testing, iteration, and deployment.
  • Act as a technical contributor and emerging leader within small project teams.
  • Interact directly with clients to gather feedback, iterate on features, and ensure solutions align with their workflows.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of professional experience in software development, ideally on production-grade applications.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, Next.js, or similar).
  • Experience building clean, maintainable, and scalable frontend architectures.
  • Familiarity with backend development, APIs, and databases is a plus.
  • Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional teams.
  • Interest in healthcare, life sciences, or digital health (prior industry experience is a plus, not required).
  • Comfortable working in client-facing, agile consulting environments.
  • Curious, pragmatic, and product-oriented mindset.

Full-time permanent contract to be filled as soon as possible. Work authorization in the US is required.
