About the Opportunity

The Full Stack Software Engineer develops and maintains the organization’s online therapy platform, owning feature development from technical design through deployment and continuous improvement. This role contributes to building secure, scalable, and maintainable software that supports a reliable user experience and enables broader access to mental health services.

Responsibilities

  • Develop end-to-end features, including technical design, coding, deployment, and ongoing enhancement.
  • Write clean, secure, readable, maintainable, and scalable code.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and other cross-functional partners.
  • Design, integrate, and develop internal and external APIs.
  • Build new products and features while modernizing existing systems.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries and design relational database schemas.
  • Develop and maintain complex backend services and algorithms.
  • Profile, troubleshoot, and optimize both new and legacy code.
  • Build responsive user experiences across mobile, tablet, and desktop platforms.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and engineering best practices.
  • Deliver frequent, thoughtful releases within an agile development environment.
  • Use approved AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve productivity while maintaining accountability for technical decisions.

Requirements

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Deep understanding of modern web development concepts and principles.
  • Demonstrated experience developing full-stack projects or significant product features.
  • Experience working across frontend, backend, and database components within at least one major project.
  • Ability to independently design, develop, and launch web applications or substantial features.
  • Ability to learn quickly, navigate established codebases, and develop new technical skills independently.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability for delivering high-quality software.
  • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
