About the role
Join a fast-growing AI robotics startup as a Full Stack Software Engineer to help build the next generation of robot control through virtual reality. This role is ideal for an early-career engineer who loves building challenging technical systems and wants significant ownership from day one.
Responsibilities
- Build and improve VR-based robot teleoperation interfaces
- Develop real-time 3D perception and point cloud visualization
- Map user movements in VR to physical robot movement
- Build high-performance frontend applications using React
- Develop backend, cloud, and robotics tooling using Python
- Optimize real-time and GPU-accelerated interfaces
- Debug systems across software, hardware, networking, and robotics
- Work directly with robots on a regular basis
- Own projects from concept through production deployment
- Propose and lead technical improvements early in your tenure
Requirements
- 0–3 years of software engineering experience
- Strong React skills
- Strong Python skills
- Experience with technically rigorous real-time or interactive systems
- Familiarity with 3D graphics, rendering, visualization, or robotics
- Exposure to technologies such as WebGL, Three.js, point clouds, GPU-accelerated graphics, VR/XR, game development, or robotics/simulation
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Robotics, or a closely related technical field

Location
This role is fully on-site in Watertown, Massachusetts, 5 days per week. Candidates must currently be local or willing to relocate to the Boston/Watertown area. No relocation bonus is provided, although a signing bonus may be considered.
Pay
$90K–$190K base + equity
