Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional software development experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
- Previous experience with Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) is a plus
- Proficiency with Git version control, preferably in a mono repository environment
- Solid expertise in Python, including Flask and SQLAlchemy
- Strong experience with TypeScript and React for frontend development
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL, including complex queries, stored procedures, and indexing techniques
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as AWS and Terraform, with a security-focused approach
- Hands-on experience across the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Proven ability to deliver complex web applications to cloud environments
- Strong understanding of unit testing methodologies across various paradigms
- Experience working within microservices and API-driven application architectures
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior developers and cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement new features for the enterprise health platform
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code based on detailed design specifications and product requirements
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure high-quality, reliable software releases
- Participate actively in planning, design discussions, and code reviews with product managers and UI/UX designers
- Develop and optimize database schemas, queries, and stored procedures within PostgreSQL
- Implement infrastructure solutions using AWS and Terraform, prioritizing security best practices
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes within an Agile/Scrum environment
- Become a subject matter expert on team products and contribute to technical documentation
- Adhere to the company's code of conduct, including reporting any compliance issues
