Full-Stack Software Developer

About the role

ASRC Federal is seeking an experienced Full-Stack Software Developer to join our Second-Level Engineering (SLE) Compliance and Automation Team supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in Oklahoma City, OK.

Responsibilities

• Assignments may include but are not limited to: computer software problem identification, problem analysis, solution determination; requirements gathering; computer software solution design, development, integration, and testing; collecting, recording, and analyzing data/information; writing technical/management reports; performing computer software investigation and inspection activities; recommending improvements to the design or operation of systems, equipment, or processes; and providing SME technical support for new system acquisition efforts.
• Works independently, as well as a team. Researches and problem solves; willing to learn/try new things.
• Communicates effectively through verbal and written communication; includes developing technical documentation.

Requirements

• Citizenship Requirement: Be a US Citizen. Have resided in the US for three (3) consecutive years. RealID Driver’s License/ID or current US Passport.
• Relocation Requirement: Candidate must reside or be willing to relocate within a commutable distance to Oklahoma City, OK.
• Education & Experience Requirement: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Mathematics, or a Bachelor’s degree in another technical field with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. Six (6) to Nine (9) years of related work experience. Other levels may be accepted for the right candidate. Experience with NAS facilities, systems, and equipment is highly desirable.

Skills

• Full-stack development experience; demonstration of knowledge will be required during the interview.
• Experience in: Programming Languages: Java / J2EE, JavaScript, Ruby, PL / SQL; Front-End Technologies: JavaScript, JQuery, HTML/CSS, JSP, Tag libraries; Frameworks & Libraries: Spring, Hibernate/Eclipse ORMs, and Ruby on Rails; Databases: Oracle / PostgreSQL; Version Control & DevOps: GIT, GitLab/GitHub, CI / CD, Maven; Web Services / APIs: RESTful services; Operating Systems: Windows and Linux (RedHat preferred).

Preferred Skills

• Information Security & Compliance: Information Systems Security / CIS practices; Monitoring system performance, security posture & vulnerability; Cloud-Native, Architecture & Emerging Technologies: AI Frameworks and knowledge; Microservices; Containerization; Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA); DITA / Open Standard Document concepts; Virtualization: VM Ware Virtualization Knowledge.
