Full Stack Java Developer - TX, AZ

Location: Irving, TX / Chandler, AZ | Contract Length: 18 months (potential extension or conversion) | Pay Rate: $53 – $57 per hour (OT40). Note: C2C or third‑party submissions are not considered.

Role Overview

This role serves as a key contributor within the Currency Transaction Reporting (CTR) technology team, supporting critical Anti‑Money Laundering (AML) and regulatory reporting capabilities. The engineer will design, develop, test, deploy, and provide operational support for Java‑based microservices, APIs, data‑processing solutions, and cloud‑enabled platforms, partnering with product owners, architects, and peer engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java/Spring Boot applications and microservices.
• Build and enhance front‑end applications using React and/or Angular.
• Develop APIs and integration services supporting CTR and AML regulatory reporting processes.
• Contribute to merging five existing applications into a unified solution.
• Participate in Python‑based data processing, automation, and pipeline development activities.
• Engage in production support, incident resolution, and application stabilization efforts.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and peer engineering teams to deliver enhancements.
• Support CI/CD practices, modernization initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and sprint planning.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of software engineering experience (work, consulting, military, or education).
• 5+ years of Java development experience with Spring/Spring Boot.
• Experience developing modern front‑end applications using React or Angular.
• 2+ years of Python development experience.
• Experience building and supporting microservices, APIs, and cloud‑enabled applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience with OpenShift (OCP) and/or Kubernetes.
• Experience with Apache Spark and data pipeline development.
• Exposure to AI‑assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.

Pay

$53 – $57 per hour (OT40).
