Full Stack Java Developer
About the role
Drive the modernization of legacy ePresentment and ETools platforms into scalable, cloud-ready CMOD capabilities and intuitive portal experiences. Design and deliver full stack solutions that power high-volume, business-critical systems, collaborating closely with engineers, architects, product owners, and UX partners to solve complex technical challenges and deliver measurable outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Play a key leadership role in shaping engineering practices, guiding design decisions, leading code reviews, mentoring team members, and establishing high standards for quality and performance.
- Leverage modern development approaches including DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, and AI-assisted workflows to optimize development velocity while maintaining stability and security.
- Directly influence system scalability, reliability, and user experience, while enabling your team to adapt quickly to evolving business needs and deliver meaningful value to clients.
Requirements
- Demonstrated exposure to, or hands-on experience with, GenAI coding assistants used across day-to-day engineering workflows in the SDLC—implementation, refactoring, unit testing, regression support, code reviews, scripting/automation, troubleshooting, and documentation—while applying engineering judgment and validation.
- Practical familiarity with tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code is expected.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise software development with strong full stack expertise.
- Advanced proficiency in Java development, Python scripting, and Bash/Shell scripting in Linux environments.
- 4+ years of experience building single-page applications using Angular (v14+).
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs using Spring Boot.
- Strong experience in Linux environments (RHEL preferred).
- Experience with enterprise-scale storage solutions and document systems.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Bitbucket, or Bamboo.
- Working knowledge of agentic workflows, spec-driven development, and custom instructions and prompt engineering, with the ability to establish team-level practices for effective AI-assisted development.
Skills
- Uses AI assistance for common dev tasks (code suggestions, test generation, review support, automation scripts, troubleshooting) with clear ownership for correctness and quality.
- Applies GenAI in ways that reduce context switching and accelerate delivery across typical workflows (not limited to writing new code).
- Demonstrates practical familiarity with GitHub Copilot and/or Claude Code within IDE/CLI-style workflows.
