About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Engineer to join our team remotely within the United States. In this role, you will design, develop, deploy, and maintain modern cloud-hosted and cloud-native applications that support mission-critical federal technology initiatives. You will work closely with federal technical and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable, reliable, and secure software solutions. Your expertise will be vital in delivering end-to-end solutions across front-end, middleware, back-end, API, and cloud infrastructure layers, ensuring adherence to architecture standards, security protocols, and software development best practices. This position offers an opportunity to leverage modern technologies, including AI-enabled tools, to accelerate development, testing, and deployment activities, ultimately driving impactful mission outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy comprehensive cloud-hosted and cloud-native applications supporting federal missions.
  • Collaborate with federal technical and business leads to understand requirements, problem statements, and project goals.
  • Manage software engineering tasks including code repository management, adherence to SDLC processes, and compliance with coding and design standards.
  • Implement and maintain end-to-end solutions across front-end, middleware, back-end, and API layers.
  • Utilize modern development tools and AI-enabled technologies to accelerate testing, deployment, and problem-solving activities.
  • Develop infrastructure as code using cloud formation or Terraform scripts for scalable and repeatable deployments.
  • Ensure security and compliance standards are integrated into all stages of development and deployment.
  • Participate in Agile development practices, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Support knowledge transfer and training sessions with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Maintain documentation and version control for all software and infrastructure components.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a government-issued Public Trust clearance.
  • 10-20+ years of experience in software development, distributed systems, and cloud-native applications.
  • Proficiency in coding standards such as Google JavaScript/JSON style guide and PEP 8.
  • Practical knowledge of design patterns (GOF, others) and application architecture frameworks (microservices, event-driven, three-tier, SOA).
  • 5-10+ years of experience in API design, deployment, and security technologies, including API gateways.
  • 1-2+ years of responsible use of AI tools to enhance testing and development processes.
  • Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement and knowledge transfer.
  • Expertise in cloud-native application architecture, including serverless designs, cloud formation, or Terraform scripting.
  • Hands-on experience with web frameworks and programming languages such as Angular, React, Python, NodeJS, and Rust.
  • Minimum of 5 years in cloud technology stacks, including AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or Oracle Cloud, with experience in network design and management.
  • Proficiency in tools like Jira, Confluence, GitHub, and JFrog.
