About The Role

Humana is seeking a highly skilled Lead Full Stack Engineer, AI Solutions, to spearhead the design, development, and deployment of scalable digital platforms and AI-enabled solutions. This pivotal role involves leading technical architecture, guiding cross-functional teams, and collaborating with business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into secure, production-grade systems. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in full stack development, cloud-native architecture, and AI/ML operations, with a proven track record of delivering enterprise-level solutions. As a leader, you will mentor engineering teams, review technical decisions, and ensure adherence to enterprise standards, governance, and modernization initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 8+ years of progressive IT experience, including senior software engineering roles on large-scale projects
  • 2+ years of project or technical leadership experience
  • Proficiency in building scalable web platforms, enterprise applications, and high-availability web services
  • Expertise in full stack development with modern front-end and back-end technologies
  • Proficiency in programming languages and frameworks such as TypeScript, Node.js, Java, Spring Boot, Vue.js, Angular, or similar
  • Experience with React Native
  • Strong knowledge of JSON, RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and client-server interactions
  • Experience designing secure, scalable cloud-native systems, preferably on Azure or equivalent cloud platforms
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure and security as code, containerization, and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, AKS
  • Demonstrated experience with AI/ML pipelines, tools, and frameworks, including operationalizing AI solutions
  • Understanding of Agentic AI concepts and processes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working within governance frameworks, Centers of Excellence, and enterprise standards
  • Strong problem-solving skills, data structures, and algorithms expertise

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical architecture, solution design, and engineering vision for enterprise platforms and AI-enabled applications
  • Serve as a senior technical leader throughout all phases of software development, including front-end, back-end, database, APIs, and hosting
  • Translate ambiguous business challenges into scalable, production-ready solutions by collaborating with business leaders and enterprise teams
  • Identify automation opportunities through discovery and workflow analysis, evaluating technical feasibility and defining success metrics
  • Design and prototype cloud-native and AI-enabled solutions, including system architecture, integrations, deployment patterns, and operational models
  • Build and deploy production-grade applications, APIs, and AI/ML pipelines using enterprise-approved technology patterns
  • Mentor and coach engineering teams, fostering technical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Review code, architecture decisions, and pull requests, providing constructive feedback
  • Strategically evaluate problems, leveraging strong technical skills and data-driven insights to determine optimal solutions
  • Partner with senior business and functional leaders to define technical direction and support enterprise decision-making
  • Collaborate with architecture, review, and governance teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise standards and compliance requirements
  • Support cloud modernization initiatives, including onboarding, deployment, troubleshooting, and security alignment
  • Investigate and recommend new technologies, frameworks, and practices to enhance speed, quality, and scalability
  • Optimize systems based on stakeholder feedback and document workflows for operational support
  • Contribute insights to internal teams to improve reusable enterprise capabilities and best practices
