Full Stack Engineer – Online Learning Platform

This role involves building a modern, scalable online learning web application from the ground up, using a provided design reference as a foundation while enhancing the overall user experience and product concept. The platform must be fully responsive, polished, and intuitive across all devices, with a focus on performance and usability. You will be responsible for developing the complete frontend, backend, database, and REST API layer, ensuring seamless integration and robust functionality. The project requires secure authentication, role-based access, user account management, interactive learner dashboards, course management, and learning-focused workflows. An admin panel for managing users and platform content is also essential. The ideal candidate will be able to provide technical recommendations and deliver a high-quality, production-ready solution. Responsibilities Develop and implement the frontend using React or Next.js, ensuring a responsive and engaging user interface Build and maintain the backend with Node.js/Express, integrating with MongoDB or PostgreSQL databases Design and implement RESTful APIs to support platform features and integrations Create secure authentication and role-based access control systems Develop interactive learner dashboards and course management modules Build an admin panel for user and content management Optimize application performance and ensure cross-device compatibility Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and bug fixing throughout the development process Provide deployment support and technical documentation Skills And Requirements Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer, with expertise in React/Next.js, Node.js/Express, and MongoDB or PostgreSQL Strong understanding of responsive web design and UX best practices Experience building secure authentication and role-based access systems Proficiency in designing and consuming RESTful APIs Familiarity with database schema design, integration, and optimization Ability to create admin panels and manage platform content Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail Experience with performance optimization and cross-browser compatibility Strong communication skills and ability to work independently Availability for a part-time, contract-based engagement Prior experience with online learning platforms or similar SaaS products is a plus About Twine Twine is a leading freelance marketplace connecting top freelancers, consultants, and contractors with companies needing creative and tech expertise.
