Full Stack Engineer (Mid-Sr.)

About the role

The engineering team at Prophetic is scaling rapidly to meet increasing demand. As a Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing and enhancing our core platform products used by homebuilders and developers to identify and analyze land opportunities nationwide. Reporting directly to our CTO, you will collaborate with a team of senior engineers to deliver features every two to three weeks, ensuring our platform remains cutting-edge and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and ship full-stack features across Prophetic’s core platform using modern backend and frontend frameworks
• Design and optimize database schemas for geospatial queries involving large datasets
• Write reliable, scalable, and maintainable code for production deployment via CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with product, design, and account management teams to translate customer needs into technical solutions
• Utilize AI tooling daily to enhance development workflows and improve code quality
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and on-call rotations to ensure platform stability
• Own features end-to-end, from database design to user interface implementation

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Proficiency with Python and TypeScript/React or similar technologies
• Strong experience with relational databases and RESTful API design
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and deploying production-quality code
• Familiarity with AI development tooling and workflows
• Strong sense of product ownership and accountability
• Experience working in fast-paced startup environments
