Full-Stack Engineer II
About The Role
We are seeking a talented Front-End Developer to join our team at HQ in Leawood, KS, or in a hybrid/remote capacity within the DMV region.
Your primary focus will be on creating intuitive, high-performance, and accessible user interfaces that translate complex data and analytics into clear, actionable insights for operators and analysts.
You will collaborate closely with UX/design teams to implement consistent design patterns and reusable components, ensuring a seamless user experience across various environments, including low-bandwidth operational settings.
Qualifications
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 3–6 years of experience in front-end or full-stack development with a focus on UI development
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and experience with VueJS or React frameworks
- Experience building responsive, accessible, and mobile-friendly user interfaces
- Strong understanding of modern front-end patterns, including component-based architecture, hooks, and state management
- Experience integrating front-end applications with REST APIs and backend services
- Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for frontend applications
- Experience deploying applications to cloud platforms and supporting CI/CD workflows
- Proficiency with Git, testing practices, and containerization tools like Docker
- Ability to collaborate effectively with UX designers and translate designs into production-ready interfaces
Responsibilities
- Design and develop user-facing applications supporting critical operational workflows
- Implement responsive and accessible UI components using VueJS or React, along with modern tooling such as TypeScript and component libraries
- Translate complex data, analytics, and system workflows into intuitive interfaces for users
- Collaborate with UX/design teams to ensure consistent design implementation and reusable component creation
- Develop scalable frontend architecture, including state management and API integration
- Build backend integrations using Python, Node.js, or Java to support frontend functionalities
- Ensure application performance and reliability across diverse operational environments
- Deploy applications to cloud environments, supporting CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery
- Utilize SQL and NoSQL data stores for data visualization, search, and data-driven UI features
- Support containerized deployment workflows using Docker and related technologies
- Work cross-functionally with product, platform, and security teams to deliver secure, production-ready applications
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of UI patterns, component usage, and technical decisions
