About the role

Join Drafter Inc. to build the software infrastructure for the world's most complex hardware. You'll develop end-to-end features spanning CAD visualization, geometry processing, and secure cloud systems. This role moves beyond CRUD apps, challenging you with computational geometry and ML pipelines that reduce drawing time by 96% for engineers at NASA and SpaceX.

What you will do

  • Build and own features end-to-end across a platform involving 3D CAD visualization, intelligent geometry processing, and robust cloud infrastructure.
  • Pipeline complex CAD data through machine learning models to generate automated, compliant GD&T suggestions for manufacturing engineers.
  • Collaborate with computational geometry specialists to develop high-performance web-based tools that handle intricate 3D models and automated tolerance analysis.

The ideal candidate

  • Proven track record in high-talent-density engineering environments like Palantir, SpaceX, Stripe, or Figma, where software interacts with complex physical or data systems.
  • Expertise in full-stack development with a desire to tackle deep domain problems like 3D rendering in browsers and secure infrastructure for government-grade security.
  • Strong sense of ownership and the ability to ship rapidly in a small, intense, remote team focused on building foundational tools for mechanical engineering.
