Full Stack Engineer

Responsibilities

• You will build customer solutions with Software Factory and help develop parts of our Software Factory itself.
• Our software engineers are responsible for the complete lifecycle of the software they create, including development, testing, operation, maintenance, and support.
• As a member of our technical staff, you must constantly challenge yourself on which software paradigms are evolving with advances in AI and how you can best leverage AI tools to improve your own practices and the team’s productivity.
• We call this building AI with AI.

Requirements

• Expertise in and extensive professional experience with full-stack web development is a must – we use Python, Typescript, React, Data Structures, and AWS
• Owning problems end-to-end and are willing to pick up whatever knowledge you're missing fast to get the job done
• Ability to work effectively within a highly dynamic and intelligent team by maintaining the values that 8090 was founded on: engineering excellence, insatiable curiosity, a bias for action, ownership, agency, honesty, and radical candor
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to collaborate and convey ideas effectively internally and to customer stakeholders

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in data engineering, ML engineering, or data science. Examples are integrating LLMs into products, fine-tuning models, creating evaluations, or hosting AI/ML infrastructure at scale
• Professional work experience in DevOps, security, and cloud infrastructure – We use GitHub Actions, Docker, and AWS CDK extensively
