Full Stack Developer, Senior

About the role

As a senior full stack developer, you’ll resolve problems with complete end-to-end solutions in a fast, agile environment. This role is more than just coding—you’ll oversee a team, help them learn new tools and techniques, and identify system improvements. You’ll guide clients through their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches, tools, and technologies, ensuring solutions consider current architecture, operating environments, and future enhancements. Responsibilities

• Develop software using Python, Java, or JavaScript
• Create data visualizations (e.g., cascading, time-shifting, dynamic, drill-down) that are easy to understand
• Design data models, including normalization and working with metrics
• Explore unique and out-of-the-box visualization techniques, particularly for networks
• Develop and maintain web-based server applications and implement algorithms that interface with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Create static presentations and static web pages
• Lead small cross-functional teams
• Apply agile team development practices

Requirements

• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph (required)
• Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science field and 14+ years of software engineering experience in a Linux environment, or 18+ years of software engineering experience in a Linux environment (in lieu of a degree)

Nice-to-have Skills

• Experience with mono-repo architecture and tooling
• Ability to work in ambiguous, fast-paced, highly collaborative, and team-oriented environments while balancing long- and short-term tasks

Pay

Salary is determined by location, education, skills, experience, and contract-specific requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $112,800 to $257,000 (annualized USD).

Schedule

This role may be remote, hybrid, or onsite:

• Remote: Primarily virtual, with occasional in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
• Hybrid: Frequent work from a Booz Allen facility, with potential visits to customer sites as needed.
• Onsite: Work primarily performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, with direct collaboration required.

For virtual and hybrid roles, cameras are generally expected to be on during meetings to support engagement and communication.
