Full Stack Developer (PHP)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain software applications handling genetic data.
• Collaborate closely with Data Science and Bioinformatics teams in an agile environment.
• Contribute to the modernization of systems while enhancing technical skills.

Skills

• Feature Development: Design, implement, and maintain software applications; ensure user requirements and performance standards are met.
• Cloud Deployment: Deploy and manage applications for scalability and reliability.
• Agile Collaboration: Participate in agile workflows (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives) and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Quality Assurance: Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; conduct peer code reviews.

Required Work Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in modern software development practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, version control, testing frameworks).
• Experience with PHP, Laravel, MySQL.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies.
• Test-driven development mindset and experience writing tests.
• Excellent communication skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Work Experience

• Knowledge of the health industry or interest in genetics and bioinformatics.
• Experience implementing solutions in the cloud (AWS preferred).
• Experience designing and working with JSON-based RESTful APIs.
• Ability to collaborate with teams in the US and EU, with at least a 2-hour overlap during their business hours.

• Proficiency in full stack development (front-end, back-end, and databases).
• Strong problem-solving abilities and commitment to continuous learning.
