Full Stack Developer / Full Stack Developers

Permanent remote position open to candidates in approved work locations across the United States. This is a 3-month W2 contract role requiring 4+ years of experience.

About the role

We are seeking skilled Full Stack Developers to support an innovative project focused on training next-generation AI systems. No prior AI experience is required—your end-to-end software development expertise is what matters. In this role, you will create Reinforcement Learning Environments that test AI models on practical full-stack software engineering problems spanning frontend, backend, APIs, and databases.

Responsibilities

• Develop clear code samples, debugging approaches, and technical solutions across frontend and backend.
• Work with technologies such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python3, Java, and Go.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs across the UI, API, and database layers.
• Build small to medium-sized features end-to-end, from user interface through the data layer.
• Improve existing frontend and backend code for better readability, consistency, reliability, and maintainability.
• Create reproducible environments and golden reference solutions for full-stack software problems.
• Document your reasoning, development approach, and code decisions to support AI training data quality.
• Review peer-contributed code and technical submissions for correctness, quality, and clarity.

Requirements

• 1+ years of hands-on experience building both frontend and backend applications.
• Experience with at least one frontend framework:
  • React
  • Vue
  • Angular
• Experience with at least one backend stack:
  • Node.js / Express
  • Python / Django / Flask
  • Java / Spring
  • Similar backend frameworks
• Strong understanding of how frontend and backend systems communicate through APIs.
• Ability to debug issues across the frontend/backend boundary.
• Good understanding of full-stack application development and data flow.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to clearly explain technical decisions and problem-solving approaches.
• Interest in or curiosity about AI and emerging technologies is a plus.
