Full Stack Developer

This role is a Full Stack Developer position within a matrixed, cross‑functional product engineering squad (Product Manager, Designer, QA, and other developers) with partnership from SRE, Platform, and security.

Responsibilities

• Ship production code across the stack — backend (PHP/Laravel, Python), frontend (TypeScript), database, and integration layers.
• Own features end‑to‑end: take a requirement from technical design through implementation, testing, review, release, and post‑launch support.
• Engage early with Product and Design to turn ambiguous requirements into workable technical designs and surface risks and dependencies.
• Build and integrate AI agent and LLM capabilities into the product, balancing capability with reliability, cost, and safety.
• Contribute to sprint planning and work decomposition — estimate honestly, flag dependencies early, and raise concerns when scope and time don’t align.
• Participate in design and architecture reviews, providing constructive code reviews.
• Work with SRE and Platform Engineering to adopt platform standards, observability, and feed real product needs back to them.
• Mentor less experienced engineers through review, pairing, and day‑to‑day guidance (no line management).
• Raise the engineering bar in code quality, testing, review culture, and technical writing.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of full‑stack software engineering experience.
• Polyglot full‑stack depth with production experience across multiple languages, frameworks, and database engines.
• Direct experience with PHP/Laravel and TypeScript; ability to reason across stacks.
• Experience shipping production code using Claude Code, understanding when it adds value and when it does not.
• AI agent / LLM integration experience, with knowledge of reliability, cost, and safety considerations in production.
• Track record of independently owning work end‑to‑end.
• Comfortable working in ambiguity, turning loosely defined requirements into buildable solutions.
• Strong collaboration with Product and Design, engaging early to improve outcomes.
• Familiarity with modern engineering practices: CI/CD, code review, testing, observability, agile delivery.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with AWS and AWS CDK.
• Background in IDV, fintech, lending, or regulated consumer data environments.
• Two‑sided marketplace or multi‑tenant platform experience.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers.
• Contributions to internal developer tooling.
• Reporting to engineering leadership.

Pay

Salary based on experience: $80,000 – $120,000.

Schedule

Full‑time, hybrid or remote depending on location.
