Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Operations Developer to join our technology team. This early-career role focuses on building a strong foundation in backend development, with a path toward becoming a full-stack engineer. The position supports and enhances a core application built on C#/.NET, hosted in Azure, and utilizing SQL and CosmosDB.
Key Responsibilities
- Application Support: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues within the Azure-hosted environment, including App Services and Functions.
- Process Automation: Identify repetitive operational tasks, support requests, and manual processes. Develop scripts and small applications to automate workflows, reduce manual intervention, and improve team efficiency.
- Backend Development: Assist with the development and maintenance of C# and .NET backend services. Focus on bug fixes, performance tuning, and small feature enhancements.
- Database Interaction: Write and optimize basic SQL queries to support application functionality. Work with CosmosDB to manage and query JSON transaction data.
- Collaboration: Work closely with senior developers and the operations team to ensure platform stability, scalability, and reliability.
- Learning and Growth: Actively learn the full application stack, including the Angular frontend. Take on more complex, full-stack development tasks over time.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of professional experience in a software development role. [Required]
- Strong, hands-on experience with C# and a good understanding of the .NET framework. [Required]
- Ability to write basic SQL queries, including SELECT statements, JOINs, and filtering with WHERE clauses. [Required]
- Natural troubleshooting ability with a logical approach to debugging complex issues. [Required]
- Clear and demonstrable desire to grow into a well-rounded, full-stack developer. [Required]
Preferred Qualifications
- Cloud Exposure: Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure, including App Services and Functions.
- Frontend Knowledge: Experience with a modern JavaScript framework such as Angular, React, or Vue.js.
- ORM Experience: Prior experience using an Object-Relational Mapper (ORM) such as Entity Framework.
- NoSQL Familiarity: Exposure to NoSQL databases, particularly CosmosDB.
- Version Control: Experience using Git for source code management.
