About the role
We are seeking a hands-on full stack engineer to help shape and scale video publishing experiences that support creators on a global platform. Our team is focused on building reliable, high-impact product capabilities across the stack, and we are looking for someone who can turn ambiguous problems into iterative, well-executed solutions.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain full stack features for a creator-facing platform serving a global audience.
- Design, develop, and operate backend services in Java or Kotlin alongside React and TypeScript frontend experiences.
- Support the reliability and performance of video ingestion, transcoding, and delivery pipelines.
- Collaborate with product, design, and data science partners while contributing to engineering quality, standards, and best practices.
Requirements
- A background in the entertainment or streaming industry is required.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience working across Java backend systems.
- 3 years of ReactJS and Typescript proficiency.
- Comfort building services in at least one backend language in Java.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) preferred.
- Experience with continuous delivery, observability, defensive programming, and automated testing.
- Comfort working with containers, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
- Ability to work across the full stack, manage ambiguity, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners.
