Responsibilities
- Evaluating current software architectures and implement meaningful improvements to ensure a robust, field-ready solution.
- Ensuring consistent submission of high-quality, technically accurate products to the Government client.
- Providing strategic advice, technical expertise, and mentorship to program and project staff, performing all functional duties independently.
- Developing specialized tools to assess cyber vulnerabilities, prioritize cyber investments, and protect against unauthorized intrusion, corruption, and destruction of Space Force networks.
- Communicating clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy—oral and written
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, software development or STEM related specialty plus 3 years’ experience in full stack development
- 8+ years of relevant experience performing engineering activities in the Government (military and/or civil servant), federally funded research and development center, or profit or non-profit Government support, or development contractor arena
- Must have SAFe for Teams certification
- AWS certifications (Associate Developer, & AWS Specialty Security within a year of start date) or be able to demonstrate AWS competence using the CLI and Boto
- Experience in the following Programming languages: C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, & Angular
- Familiarity and knowledge of: Apache Spark, Kubernetes, Kafka, SIMP Project, Ansible, Docker, GIT, Linux, Suricata, Zeek, Kibana, Logstash, Elastic Search, Neo4J, PostgreSQL, Terraform, Artifactory, GitLab
- Experience or knowledge in the following areas: network engineering, AWS Cloud, agile software development, agile methodologies, agile project management, software project management, defensive cyber military operations, software development life cycle management, program/project management, systems engineering, strategic planning, cross-functional team
- US Citizen and with an Top Secret security clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant DoD and/or Industry work experience in Space Systems Command
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Estimated Salary Range: $155,000.00 - $180,000.00, commensurate on experience and technical skillset.
