Job Description

As a Software Engineer you will contribute to full-stack development across our B2B and B2C SaaS products, working with React/TypeScript on the frontend and NestJS/Node.js on the backend. You'll collaborate closely with senior engineers and the Technical Lead Engineer to build secure, scalable, and customer-centric features.

Key Responsibilities

  • Feature Development & Delivery
  • Collaborate with fellow engineers, the Product Manager, and UX Designer to understand requirements and estimate timelines.
  • Communicate progress, blockers, and delays proactively to the team.
  • Contribute to improving engineering practices and processes.
  • Explore and experiment with generative AI tools to enhance development workflows.
  • Programming & Implementation
  • Write high quality, maintainable, and well-tested code.
  • Implement front-end UI components using TypeScript and React.
  • Implement RESTful API endpoints using TypeScript, NestJS, and Node.js.
  • Participate in peer code reviews to maintain code quality and follow engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with developers to build reusable code and components.
  • Follow software security requirements and secure coding practices.
  • Leverage modern developer tools (including AI-assisted tools) to enhance productivity.
  • Software Design
  • Contribute to technical discussions and design reviews.
  • Help design and build reusable React components for the front-end UI.
  • Consider performance, scalability, and user experience when implementing features.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance
  • Deliver well-tested code.
  • Write unit tests for APIs and front-end components.
  • Maintenance & Support
  • Troubleshoot, debug, maintain, and improve existing software.
  • Fix bugs, performance issues, and security vulnerabilities.
  • Occasionally participate in on-call rotation to resolve customer issues and address server alerts as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • Experience writing code in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3.
  • Experience with front-end technologies and frameworks, preferably React.
  • Experience with NestJS, Node.js, and API development.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals and problem-solving/analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Understanding of agile software development lifecycle.
  • Experience with testing frameworks such as Mocha, Jest, etc.
  • Strong communication skills - able to explain technical decisions clearly.
  • Good written and spoken English proficiency is required; this role involves regular communication with US-based stakeholders via Slack, Azure DevOps, and video calls.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of SaaS product architectures.
  • Familiarity with AWS/Azure/Google Cloud.
  • Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor).
  • Background in application security or cybersecurity concepts.

Pay

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: 70000 to 85000 Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law. The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.
