About The Role

We are seeking a talented Full Stack Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications that power the legislative process. The ideal candidate is confident in Docker and containerization technologies, has a strong understanding of .NET Core, and is experienced in developing robust APIs and working with modern database solutions. Key Responsibilities

  • Application Development: Design and build backend services and APIs using .NET Core with advanced techniques like dependency injection, reflection, and plugin architecture. Implement GraphQL and REST APIs to enable efficient data exchange between systems.
  • Database Design and Optimization: Work with PostgreSQL using Entity Framework and the Code-First approach for schema management. Write and optimize queries with LINQ to ensure high performance and scalability.
  • Containerization and Deployment: Leverage Docker to containerize applications and streamline deployment workflows. Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines for seamless software delivery.
  • Security and Access Control: Implement authentication and authorization solutions using Keycloak, OAuth, and OpenID Connect. Enforce role-based access control (RBAC) to ensure secure application usage.
  • Messaging and File Storage: Interact with RabbitMQ for efficient inter-service communication. Use MinIO or similar tools for secure and scalable file storage solutions.
  • Collaborative Development: Work with cross-functional teams to integrate backend and frontend features. Write clean, maintainable code using abstract classes, generics, and interfaces.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Expertise in .NET Core and C# development, with a focus on scalable architecture.
  • Experience with Docker and containerization principles.
  • Strong understanding of API development, including dependency injection and reflection.
  • Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and Entity Framework Code-First development.
  • Familiarity with GraphQL and REST API design.
  • Working knowledge of RabbitMQ or similar messaging systems.
  • Experience with file storage solutions like MinIO.
  • Strong understanding of authentication protocols and tools such as Keycloak, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
  • Proficiency with LINQ and asynchronous programming patterns.
  • Knowledge of plugin architectures and modular code design.

Bonus Skills

  • Frontend experience with frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Understanding with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Experience working on large enterprise projects, including scaling applications and managing complex system integrations.
  • Familiarity with document manipulation and processing using byte arrays for efficient handling of binary data.

Travel Requirement

Up to 15% travel, offering opportunities to collaborate directly with clients, build stronger relationships, and gain deeper insights during requirement gathering, UAT, and project delivery phases. Travel ensures hands-on involvement and successful project outcomes.

Work Location

This role is based in Richmond, VA, with an option for remote work for highly qualified candidates willing to travel as needed.
