Full-Stack AI Engineer at Greylock

About the role

The role involves building AI systems that provide Greylock's investment team with a competitive advantage. The candidate will develop custom agent-based workflows for market mapping and due diligence, and prototype and ship production Large Language Model (LLM) tools.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy custom agent-based workflows that automate complex research, sourcing, and diligence processes across the firm's portfolio and pipeline.
• Design production systems that integrate LLMs, retrieval pipelines, and structured data into tools that partners rely on for live deal evaluations.
• Sit in on deal meetings to identify workflow bottlenecks and prototype AI-driven fixes within days to enhance the investment team's decision-making power.

Requirements

• Experienced engineer with 2-5 years of experience who has successfully shipped multi-step LLM workflows or AI agents in a high-stakes production environment.
• Strong full-stack developer capable of owning the entire lifecycle from frontend and backend to data pipelines and deployment without the need for handoffs.
• Product-minded individual with pre-founder energy who thrives in ambiguity and knows when to ship quickly versus building for long-term technical durability.

Qualifications

• Experience with AI and machine learning technologies.
• Knowledge of full-stack development including front-end and back-end technologies.
• Experience with data pipelines and deployment.
