Full Specialist
Job Description
As a Spa Specialist, you will position yourself to deliver professional, meticulous manicures, pedicures, and nail enhancement services to guests while ensuring a comfortable and relaxing spa experience. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures, and state law.
- Provide spa guests with a comfortable and relaxing spa experience while ensuring the utmost safety for our guests.
- Assess guest needs and inquire about contraindications (e.g., medications, allergies, high blood pressure, and pregnancy) before beginning service.
- Maintain the highest level of guest service by providing guests with a broad understanding of current techniques and procedures.
- Must be qualified and able to perform all treatments offered.
- Ensure an uncompromising level of cleanliness of the work area and/or treatment room at all times.
- Promote and sell spa/salon services, including retail offerings related to the Spa.
- (Retail sales goals may be required).
- Informs facility management of any member, guest, or facility issues.
- Is knowledgeable about the facility, the property, and its amenities in order to effectively communicate with guests.
- Reports any incidents or accidents to a member of the management team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year with experience, preferably in a resort spa environment.
- Previous experience in a salon or spa is often preferred, though not always required for entry-level roles.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a minimum of 500-600 hours of training, combining skincare plus nails.
- Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Passing a state exam or meeting school completion requirements
- Applying for a Full Specialist license.
- Strong knowledge of skincare, nail care, and sanitation practices.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional, friendly, and client-focused demeanor.
- Collect accurate information and solve management concerns.
