Full Service District Manager

Responsibilities

• Performs work in selected grocery stores as directed by the General Manager.
• Manages District to achieve sales, shrink, and profit goals.
• Manages District to maintain all specified POGs (Plan-O-Grams) at every chain.
• Manages District orders, stocks, and rotates company product displays.
• Manages District inventory of store back stock, ensuring items needed to fill shelves are moved into the store.
• Manages District to rotate stock so the newest product is the last purchased.
• Manages District to write orders for the store’s next delivery based on current back stock levels.
• Manages District to track orders according to upcoming promotions and display space provided by the store.
• Manages District responsibility for items going out of date (shrink) and informs the dairy, grocery, or store Manager of any issues with dated items.
• Physically handles working in cooler or deep freeze environments for a significant portion of the shift.

Qualifications

• Customer service-oriented with the ability to communicate orally in a clear and positive manner.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to generate and maintain accurate and concise written records.
• Understands each assigned store’s unique method of back stocking and product displays.
• Capable of pushing, pulling, lifting, and rotating items; physical demand generally involves 30-40 lbs., with occasional lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Proficient in English for speaking, understanding, reading, and writing reports using acceptable format, sentence, and paragraph structure.
• Works well in a team environment, including collaboration with a diverse group of people across the business.
• Works with minimal supervision and maintains productivity.
