FULL SERVICE COOK

About the role

Mission Yogurt is seeking a full-time Line Cook for Greenleaf, located inside the John Wayne Airport. We are looking for an experienced full-service restaurant line cook who has knowledge of working in a professional kitchen. If you've successfully worked grill and fry stations in a medium- to high-volume full-service restaurant and take pride in cooking high-quality food with speed, consistency, and accuracy, this might be the place for you. As a Line Cook, you'll prepare menu items to recipe specifications, execute multiple stations during service, maintain food safety standards, and work alongside a talented BOH team to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Our Ideal Candidate Has Experience At Restaurants Similar To: Full-service casual dining, upscale casual, breweries, steakhouses, seafood restaurants, hotel restaurants, or chef-driven concepts where they've regularly worked grill, sauté, and fry stations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent line cook experience in a full-service restaurant is required.
• Hands-on experience working grill, sauté, and fry stations during busy meal periods.
• Able to cook multiple menu items simultaneously while maintaining quality, consistency, and ticket times.
• Strong understanding of proper food handling, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices.
• Experience following recipes, portion standards, and plating specifications.
• Able to set up, stock, and break down stations for service.
• Works efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen.
• Takes pride in maintaining a clean, organized workstation throughout each shift.
• Dependable with excellent attendance and a strong work ethic.

• Must be able to pass a required 10-year airport background check.

Please Note: This position is intended for cooks with experience in full-service restaurant kitchens. Experience limited to fast food, quick-service restaurants, convenience stores, or cafeterias does not meet the experience requirements for this role.

Physical demands

• Must be able to work on your feet for up to 12 hours.
• Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching overhead, and lifting products and supplies weighing 20 pounds, and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds, as well as repetitive hand and wrist motion.
