Motivated Optometrist Needed
Spearfish, South Dakota may be the opportunity you did not know you were looking for. A motivated optometrist is needed for a great long-term opportunity with significant growth potential in the Black Hills of South Dakota.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be working at one of two private practices, practicing full scope optometry and using the latest technology to assess and treat all ocular conditions. This includes the high-resolution Optos, OCT, i-care, adaptDx, and visual field analysis.
Responsibilities
- Assess and diagnose a variety of ocular conditions
- Treat common eye diseases and disorders
- Perform comprehensive eye exams
- Prescribe glasses and contact lenses
- Implement vision therapy if interested
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals
Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry degree from an AOA accredited program
- State licensure in South Dakota
- Current DEA prescription writing privileges
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Experience in full scope optometry preferred
- Interest in vision therapy is a plus
Benefits
- Competitive starting salary of $140,000 (before production-based bonus and benefits)
- Guaranteed base salary of $140,000 (income over $170,000+ is very feasible in the first year or two)
